Grant Procedure/Requirements
To be a candidate for a Foundation grant, the project proposer must file the Application for Grant Funding form with the Foundation’s Committee on Grant Funding. Project proposals will be evaluated and prioritized in line with the Foundation’s objectives which broadly include providing information and enlightenment on the Armed Conflict 1861–1865, supporting projects and charities attributable to Civil War History, preserving and restoring Civil War monuments, constructing/erecting Civil War monuments, providing scholarships, and providing benevolence to members of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
It is the intent of the Foundation to support worthy projects to the extent deemed appropriate within the funds available. Candidates for a Foundation grant are not required to be affiliated with the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
Application for Grant Funding
